Warning: Psychology Clinic

JCUS Psychology Clinic offers confidential clinical psychology services to JCUS students, as well as the public. The Psychology and Social Work Clinic at Ohio University offers an array of services to the university community, as well as to the larger community and region. Mental health refers to our emotional, psychological, and social well-being. Together, you’ll focus on the problems you’re facing and work through personal, family, and relationship problems to promote more effective functioning and well-being. We empower clients to take an active role in their treatment and in the promotion of their overall mental health and well-being. Evidence-based interventions such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy are used to guide treatment. Our clinic hours are Monday through Friday, 9:00am to 5:00pm. Please note that appointments may not be available at all times due to therapist schedules and client demand. Although the Clinic is not a for-profit venture, fees are charged for services and clinicians are expected to collect fees at the time services are rendered. At Reframe Psychology Clinic, you will find a team of highly supportive, skilled and experienced clinicians to help you, your child and family. Help is available and we can get better with the right help and support. A psychologist studies how we think, feel and behave from a scientific viewpoint and applies this knowledge to help people understand, explain and change their behaviour. What we think and feel affect how we behave, handle stress, communicate and relate to others, and take care of ourselves. Experts in psychiatry and psychology actively participate in education and research, which support patient care by contributing the latest knowledge and innovative treatments. Taking care of our minds is just as important as taking care of our bodies. All clinical supervisors are registered and experienced Clinical Psychologists. If you are still interested, please check back in September. Services are provided by intern clinical psychologists from the JCUS Master of Psychology (Clinical) programme. The clinic offers services provided by Provisionally-registered Psychologists who have already completed at least four years of university training in psychology, and who are now enrolled in specialist post-graduate Master’s degrees.
